Assembly Types

The Assembly Types screen is used to manage classes of Assemblies. In other words, this is where I define the various types of Rhodes pianos I work on. The definition of an Assembly Type consists of a unique name and a list of Items required to make a complete Assembly

Although every Assembly must be of a particular Assembly Type, it is not necessary for them to include every Item listed in the Assembly Type's definition. Assemblies may also include Items that are not part of their Assembly Type definitions. An Assembly Type defines a standard or canonical version of the Assemblies it describes but it is only an organizational aid in managing them as they progress through their life cycle.
